Unlike the 4K cars, there's no screening of the openings between the
evaporator box and the passenger cabin.  I suppose that if you have a
continuing problem, it would pay to remove the rain diverter and
form-fit  some screen around the evap box.  It'd be quite a bit of custom
fitting, however, and I don't see how you'd enclose the bottom
areas.  You'd almost have to replicate the rain diverter and extend the
screening to the fenders.
