trouble starting in '86 k5cstq (Additional Info)

I also had this issue with my '86 5kcstq.  The same fix Zsolt recommended
fixed mine.  It is called a check value. Located on top of the fuel pump
which resides in the fuel tank.  You can get the check valve from Blau for
about $25.  However since you are going all the way into the gas tank I would
recommend replacing the fuel pump as well.  Blau sells a heavy duty fuel pump
(with check valve already installed) for about $189 for our cars.  Call them
they have an article in their latest newsletter discussing this very issue.
After replacement the noise I was getting from the gas tank has ceased.  Car
runs great now.
