S4/A4 Avant

The A4/S4 wagon is a very practical "medium-small"
car, with better than medium car storage capacity.

The S just happens to get you from 50-100 faster than
many sportscars, and stops you nearly the same way. 
For me it's my own personal rally car, that just
happens to hold four people and enough sports gear for
a two week vacation...the perfect all around car.

The wagons come with a very nifty cargo net which can
be used with the rear seats up or folded down...great
for the pups.  And the sports interior of the S4 'may'
stay cleaner looking (scratch-wise) than leather if
they are hauled often.

I drive the S wagon, my wife has the V6 2.8q sedan. 
Either one is great on the road.

My guess would be that dealers may be able to offer a
relatively 'better' deal on the A4, as the newer body
style sedans are already showing on the lots, as the
wagons are due beginning of '02.

The S's are now out of production and should be quite
limited by the time Oct rolls around.
