That's what I was referring to, yes. If the metering plate is what he
meant, then there is a minor concern to be dealt with.

That's what should happen, yes. The air meter should register that you're
drawing less air becasue you're using the extra that was vented through
the CBV.  Otherwise you go rich when shifting.

If, however, the CBV dump tube is routed in such a way that it can send
the pressure wave all the way back out the the air meter, it can foul the
measurement.  Some newer(asian) imports experience this with certain
modifications.

I would expect a straight T close to the compressor inlet to work just
fine.  An angled T that points toward the compressor inlet might be even
better.
