Observations about European cars

I personally think the involvement of GM and Ford with
Jaguar and Saab was a *good* thing!  Both of those
marques had such abysmal quality control that owning
the cars was practically excructiating.

Like my parents '79 Saab 900 that went through 3
motors in 4 years and needed it's fuel injectors
cleaned out every 2 weeks.  Now there was a quality
peice of engineering!

I could really care less if Acura, Infiniti and the
like don't have a history dating back till the
medievel ages.  Rome wasn't built in a day, you have
to start somewhere.

Whether or not you feel it's marketing hocus pocus or
not, that doesn't take away from the fact that the
Japanese "luxo" divisions make damn fine cars.
