Strut housing question

Hi fellow listers!

I wanted to ask a simple question that still remains unanswered to me:

Does anyone know if type 85 CV joints do fit single-piece type 89 strut 
housings?
I'd like to make the G60 conversion on my car and I found out that it will 
be easier to switch to type 89 strut housings in order to have the G60s fit 
the strut housings...
Are there any height difference between type 85 and type 89 strut housings?
