So VERY little of what we experience in life is under ANY measure of
influence or control. We drive down some highways at 80-110 kph with a
broken white line separating others barrelling down in the opposite
direction at the same speeds. We do this daily and without thought - just a
natural and default belief that both parties will respect that line as a
boundary.

This morning, and continuing thru today, boundaries were blurred on a much
larger global highway. Most know that it's been crossed before - the
Baltics, Pearl Highway, and almost every other country on every continent
on the face of the earth. Very seldom has it happened so close to home -
but it has happened. Many of these crossings have lead to war - the saddest
and most destructive failing of our species.

Many of us will drive today on highways at similar speeds we drove
yesterday - with something closely resembling faith - faith that we'll
travel safely and reach our destination.

When you have a moment, if you have the inclination... a thought, a prayer,
a word, in the direction of that same faith that keeps us on the road would
be added to those being offered up all across the sane planet, and
appreciated. Whatever leaders of nations and sects decide to do from this
day forward, keep thoughts and prayers trained on the road to our
destination - one of peace and security - that it paved with as much
reason, tolerance and honesty as leaders in chaos can muster.

The Legacy of our generation is being written in stone today. This is what
they'll speak of when speaking of our era.

God forgive the authors. God forgive weak and the strong willed their
actions and reactions. God keep and bless the children who today, and those
who in the days and months to come will know, the pain of loss of loved
ones. We're all children today.
