Dan recently created an Off-Topic list for dealing with such 
subjects.  Here's his announcement:

There is now an offtopic mailing list at audifans, called simply:
offtopic at audifans.com
To subscribe, add yourself via the web page at
http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/offtopic
It would be ideal if discussions about the recent terrorist attacks on
the United States were moved to that list, but I will allow discussion
on other lists for another day or so, as we are all trying to cope with
this tragedy.

The new listing would be a much better place for your violation of the 
general practice of keeping private mailings private unless they deal with 
a warning about someone's inappropriate treatment of listers in commercial 
dealings.
