Brakes, shocks etc q's

I'm in need of brakes in the front of my '95 90q, so I ordered up some
ATE rotors from Blau. They are out of the rears right now, and my rear
rotors are fine. Will I be missing much by staying stock in the rear
brakes, or should I wait and do the rears at the same time. I know most
braking is done up front, but...
I'll also be doing a strut/shock upgrade and I am wondering whether to
do the springs, too. The car is at 95k. Do the springs loose anything
over time and use? Is now the time to change them, or upgrade? I think
that the new shocks/struts (Bilstein fronts, Boge backs) will be a big
improvement over the old stock parts, but if the springs do degrade, i
should really do them now, eh?
Thanks
