AFAIK the stock lifters work just fine even for moderately high performance
modifications.

If you are installing a hot cam, you might want to install high-performance
Valve springs.  Of course, then the job complexity goes up significantly.

I need to replace the hydraulic valve lifters on my
4KCSQ.  Does anyone recommend any particular type?
Should I stick with OEM??  Would appreciate any
suggestion(s).  Thanks in advance.
