The really sad part of this is that if the server operator had employed
downloadable patches Microsoft has been providing for quite some time, it
wouldn't have had the problems it did. In this era it only makes sense to
"compute safely" by using every every available protection the software
suppliers offer. Individuals have plenty of free antivirus programs
available for personal computers too.
