Power steering pump bearing?

Got a question for you guys and gals.
The power steering pump in my 86' 4kcsq is making a squeaking noise, sounds
like a bearing.  Not a terrible screeching like when an alternator bearing
goes, but it sounds like a bearing that needs oil.  So, my question is, has
anyone ever replaced the bearings in the power steering pump, or rebuilt the
pump?  Or, as an alternative, can they be rebuilt at a shop?  Last question,
does the 4000s FWD use the same pump?
