whats Riced and not riced? (was New car on the road)

My definition of "rice":

Modifications that have no performance enhancing aspect at all and
are of questionable taste.

My window tint and the aluminum shift knob in my car could be considered
"rice" by that definition, esp. when the aluminum contrasts with the
nice wood trim in the car.

Yes, I consider the Treser body kit to be in poor taste, as most of
Koenig's monstrosities and Gemballa's. The '80s AMG stuff, on the other
hand, looks very nice and understated.
