Puff 'o smoke

Hey list, I'm getting a small puff of blue smoke out of my '97 a4. Now
this is the funny part, it dosen't smoke when first started up, like
you'd expect from worn valve seals.  It dosen't smoke under load.  It
dosen't smoke at idle.  Only after the first start of the day, just
about the time Iget backed out of the driveway (say a minute or so) I
get a small puff of blue smoke.

Anybody got any ideas?  (Besides crickets in my cylinders smoking
cigars)
