If it's a 1.8T, make sure the wastegate rod has been replaced along with
the oil lines- there was a recall along these lines on early 1.8Ts.

Is it a 2.8 or a 1.8T?
My mother's 1.8T has suddenly started doing this too, and the dealer
is replacing something in the turbo (she didn't remember the name of
the part) under warranty. I suspect a seal is letting a tiny amount
of oil seep by overnight, which puffs out in the morning.
