erm...
i went to look at my 87 4kq because it was eating tires in the left rear
after being winched out of a snowbank after some foolishness on my part over
at the fairgrounds last winter. heh. i got a bit too enthusiastic and drove
the damn thing into a ditch, the whole time proclaiming how great the car was
and how they couldn't be stuck. fool!
guess what i found?
2 tie rod nuts that were *not* even close to the locking collars. the collars
themselves were just swinging around on the tie rod, oblivious to the fact
that they were supposed to be jammed between the proverbial nut and
adjuster...i somewhat re-aligned it and tightened things up, in total
disbelief the whole time.
guess who aligned it last?
"The Good Life at a Great Price-Guaranteed!'" Sears. >: (
