The afterrun pump, and the water pump on the cam belt come to mind as
possibilities.  The turbo might be a problem, too, it is water cooled.
Check the sensors that mingle into the water system as well, both on the
block and on the radiator.

I'd say if you had a pinhole leak in a hose, you would see dried coolant
somewhere.

Run a compression check, might tell you if the head gasket is suspect.

Finally, you could buy a kit that lets you analyze your coolant for exhaust
gas residues; tells you if you have a bad head gasket.
