Fuel Tank Options

I notice that most of the chain auto supply stores sell fuel tank repair kits 
now. I can't speak for the success of them. While in college, I held an old 
Porsche tank (replacement cost $2200.00) together with alternating layers of 
super glue and aluminum foil, each sheet larger than the previous. Boiling 
tanks is now illegal in my state. My local Advance Auto has offered to send a 
tank to Albany, NY for "rebuilding". Cost $225.00. Further note, here in 
Mass. it is not actually illegal to boil the tank. It is just that the EPA 
regulations destroy the practicality. If anyone lives near Lexington, MA, 
I'll give you a name.
