Might make a difference. I had a 4kcs and then got a 4kcsq just after, so
I feel I can make a comparison. The FWD 4k did handle "better" than the
AWD 4kq. It was lighter, which you could feel, and more nimble, more
tossable through the corners. Under extreme cornering, I could get a back
wheel to spin in the quattro, which reduced thrust through the corner,
where the front wheel drive 4k would pull all the way around. The quat
felt more stable, but just wasn't as lively. That's why I went back to the
Coupe'. It has the 5 cyl engine with the FWD chassis, plus I prefer 2 door
cars over 4 doors, generally.
I would say the same about my Subaru and my current coupe. The Subaru is
faster (about the same as the Z in fact) but the coupe and Z both handle
better.
