Cold Start/ No Idle 90 2CTQ 2nd try

I should know better than to write late at night after Easter
festivities. I will try to be more succinct with my problem. I fixed
the vacuam leaks that plagued the car when I bought it last month, it
no longer stalls when I come to a stop light when the car is warm and
has been running. Thanks for all your suggestions. My current problem
of the week is when I start the car (cold) it does not want to idle,
it kind of spits and sputters at 3-600 rpm and dies instantly. If I
give it gas, hold the revs at about 2-3,000rpm for a couple of
minutes it will idle at 800 rpm just fine.  Any thoughts about my
problem would be appreciated.
