Eh, it wheel balancing, I figure it's hard to screw up...

I really haven't ever since 1. a trained ex-Audi tech busted off an
alarm horn on my old 5kt and acted like it didn't even happen (did this
right in front of me, too.  weird.), and 2. just seeing how no matter
how good one is, how much it is still possible to screw things up on a
car by accident, tiredness, bad days, etc...

And of course my "approval" of one NTB, at a few times in the past, is
impossible to generalize to others, or even this one next week - since
there is, as you say, no owner to provide any continuity of work
quality.
