trailer wiring & hitch (Canadian content)

First off:
Thanks to all for a great forum for support and info.

I just went to my Bentley CD to look up the wiring for a trailer hitch for
my 1995 90Q and found that position 26 is listed as a trailer connector (30A
fuse). There is no hyperlink and no further explanation. ($150 well spent
???)

Does anyone here have any experience with this connection?

I'm hoping that this is a position which I can use to integrate my trailer
wiring to the system without upsetting the wiring monitors (load balance
check, or whatever) and without risk of a trailer short blowing a costly
system component. Maybe saving the $60 or so for the 3rd party isolator that
would otherwise be required. Am I expecting too much?

Fantasy Mode ON ...

I'd like most to look under the hood and see the wiring leading from
position 26 heading to the back end and culminating in a plug hidden in the
trunk. Maybe, while I'm living in this fantasy world, I should ask for a
naked blonde to be there (the trunk) as well. Just as likely, I suppose.

Back to reality ...

I'll ask again if anyone knows of a good Canadian source of trailer hitches
for Audi's.
