V-8 Conversions

Correction Brett, LS-1's are not a known fit.  I suspect it can be made to
fit, much like I did with the LT-1Q.  However the use of the pre-1982
engine mount design rather than the later mount may or may not be
compatible to the block bolt patterns of the LS-1.

All that being said, with V-8Q's selling soooo cheap, why would you ever
invest the time, effort or gobs of money a conversion would actually cost.

PS:  The clutch was only problematic until we found that the input shaft
bearing adapter was machined out of round.  The weakest link seemed to be
the trans when driven like a lunatic.

Possibly, but An LS1 is a known fit, as a few folks have done(very
few.)  And yes, in that case, there were a lot of problems with the
clutch getting chewed up.
