Re: no. 2. You have the exact symptons I had in my '86 4kq. It turned out to
be a wire in the starter that gives power in the "start" position. The
cold-start injector never runs because the thermo-time switch gets power
from that terminal on the starter. Hence the tough start cold and easy warm
starts. I didn't replace the starter, just had it repaired.
