These are the kind of Audi questions I can actually answer.

MS Word doesn't necessarily change you mail format.  The message you
sent, for example, is in plain text.  I'm replying using ms word and my
message is also in plain text.  When editing mail with word, there is a
drop menu on you tool bar (upper right) that allows you to select the
message format before sending.

does this have nothing to do with what format the messages are in when

leave?
