Question about injectors on EFI'd 10 valve cars

Thanks, Gerard and Marc for the quick replies:

My motivation for asking about interchangeability was to see if I could use
cheap used injectors from some other car, sourced on E-bay or similar. I
recently started researching EFI and became aware of http://www.diy-efi.org/
. They feature an open-source EFI management system called Megasquirt:
http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html . In any case, a Megasquirt group
buy is supposed to be coming up and I was thinking about joining. I don't
know what hurdles I would run into implementing this but it seems well
documented and for $120.00, pretty inexpensive.

Newtsplace
http://www.newtsplace.com/90tq/fuelparts.html?select=fuel.html&subselect=fue
lparts.html says that digifant equiped VW Golf/Jetta digifant injector
inserts (P/N#037 133 555) will work to replace the CIS inserts. Javad
http://80tq.com/fuel.html says that the 20v inserts work but I don't know
the part number (maybe the same).

It sounds like the Ford injectors work well for the fitment into the
injector inserts on the manifold side. Do these injectors use the D-Jet or
L-Jet harness connectors? What kind of O-Ring do they have on the rail
side?? (small or 14mm) I am assuming that nobody is using barbed top
injectors for 034 or other custom application efi?

What are you guys using as differential pressure between your manifold
pressure and fuel rail pressure? I am assuming that 43.5psi for the rail is
standard based on what little I have read. This site led me to believe that
35lb/hr (370cc/min) injectors would be appropriate for a maximum output of
250 hp: http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm Does this figure seem
reasonable? How high can I go and expect a decent idle? What flow rate is a
stock 20v injector??

Sorry I sound like a little kid. "Why's the sky blue. Why this ..Why
that...Why." In any case I appreciate all of the info from everybody.

Dan
