Threading wiring above headliner

I finally got around to trying to install the interior courtesy lights that
I pulled off of a 5000tq in a junkyard. I grabbed the light panels as well
as the wiring harness. I've gotten the harness itself correctly hooked into
my car so as to make the lights useful, but now I'm faced with a problem.
How do I thread the wiring from the sunroof light panel (where I'm drawing
power, ground, switched ground) to the driver side light panel and around
the car? I've tried forcing it with a coat hanger, but it simply won't go
to where I want it to. Any suggestions?
I'll do a full write up on how to install courtesy lights once I finish
this... having the wiring dangling out from the middle of the car is a tad
annoying.
Thanks,
David Miller
