My old '89 100Q was sort of in between. It ran (at least it made
it the half mile home), although I could have walked faster.
It never actually stalled, although I would say it was making
maybe 3-4 HP tops. Thank god the hill wasn't very steep.
I have heard of the NA engines stalling.
