93 100csqw Cooling Fan Runs Constantly

Gang,

As soon as the key is on... the cooling fan starts running. The only time it
shuts off is when the key is off.
Common problem? My search of the audifans archives reports a few items from
older models----but nothing in recent times.

I assume there is a switch or relay that I need to look at. All I have found
with the Bentley is the location of the item at the lower driver side of the
radiator.

Lastly, what is the downside of fan running constantly? I do intend to fix
it... but do not perceive this as a hazard, therefore I'm not rushing to fix
it. Am I being foolish?
