Yup, my turbo converted 80q used to have horrible hot starting problems, now that I'm running EFI no such issues, the car starts on like the first crank, almost instantly.  I think the problem with the CIS is that you have 5 relatively small fuel lines that heat soak very quickly.  My EFI setup uses -6 lines, about 3/8ID, and I have insulation over the fuel rail in and out lines, seems to take the hot engine compartment heat very well.
