e-brake not working on 4kq

So what does one do after fitting and driving with a new caliper/ but with
non functioning e brake. Have tried all of the below.

That's the key point - the pistons should be seated against the discs using
the normal brakes
before the handbrake is engaged for the first time.  If the handbrake is
pulled on before this
is done, the caliper can get into a state in which the handbrake never
works.
