Ok, so dummy here is working on his brakes, replacing pads and bleeding. Anyway, after successfully bleeding the RF brake by opening the bleed screw, I then go to tighten it using a 7mm socket and ratchet. Thankfully I had it tight enough so that it doesn't leak, but after just giving it that last-incy-wincy-tiny-little twist, damn screw broke off. I know, should've listened to the archives and used a box(?) wrench.
So, if I need to in the future, can I drill this broken bit out or will I contaminate the break line with small metal bits? Anyone see any problems if I just leave it as is and never bleed the RF brake?
Also, question on the RR side. There are two lines that go into the brake caliper. One is the hydraulic line that goes into the top of the caliper/housing and there is another one that goes into the bottom. What is this for? Reason I ask is because somehow, this snapped off. Couldn't find anything in the Bentley that mentions this. Thinking this is part of the handbrake system. Any ideas? Safe to drive? Sure hope so because I drove 40 miles to work today.
Thanks
