I got a chance to crawl under the car after work
today and cleaned the area well with brake clean
let the car idle in the driveway for a while and
didn't notice any oil loss so I went for a ride around
the block
got back under the car and noticed oil on the oil
temp gauge sender and all so noticed oil commin from
above the sender where the sender is screwed into the
housing (I guess you can call it) well
thats bolted to the front underside of the block
there looks to be a paper gasket in between could that
paper gasket be causing the leak?
it's just hard to tell since the oil loss is rite
near the alternator and the main pulley's there's
allot of wind generated down there so the oil looks to
be blown around it's hard to pinpoint
so it could be
1) sender leaking
2) crank seal leaking
3) gasket between oil temp sender housing and block or
is that just the crank seal leaking?
any additional help would be great
Thanks
Ron
