Drove a FS '93 100csq Avant last night...

And I see what you all mean about them being, ahem, sluggish off the
line. My wife's comment was something like "why won't it go?" (Then I
told her to floor it and she was doing almost 50 without realizing how
fast she was going--it insulates you from speed sensations very well
like most large Audis). In reality it is probably not much slower off
the line than the little 4kq I'm enjoying so much right now, but sure
feels like a slug compared to the ovlov 850t and my 5kcstq with boost
mods. We didn't have a chance to get it out on the highway to stretch
out. It may be a good three seat family wagon for us. Overall condition
is very good, interior looks new, exterior is way above average for a 9
year old car. It is from the East coast it turns out so rusty stuff is a
maintenance concern. There is some evidence of oil leakage around the
front of the engine. No records and no idea when the last T-Belt job was
done. Car has 107k miles and overall condition indicates a very high
level of care. Aside from being a bit on the sluggish side, the car
drove nearly perfectly. I noted a slight warped rotor feeling in the
brakes, but that was all I could sense was amiss, drove like a new car.
We can get it for $8500.00. A part of me really wants to hold out for an
Ur-S6 Avant, but another part of me says sell the ovloV ASAP and get
what we can out of it and cut our losses. Since there's no way we can
stretch to the $18-20k range (though a few more image usage sales like I
got yesterday and that may change) this seems to make a lot of sense for
the here and now. The only non-Audi alternative I can think of would be
a ovloV 940 turbo and my wife hates the way they look, and they have
about the same power as the 100csq (and the 100csq is a superior car IMO
in every respect). Comments? Suggestions? I'm going to resume this quest
next week upon my return from our four-day marathon road trip to Pahrump
NV ACCNA driver's school and Long Beach GP.
