Fuel Pressure Testing - 5ktq - where to tap?

I have been trying to track down the cause of poor cold start problem, and
warm start after sitting for some minutes is not great either. It seems I
have a fuel pressure problem, which may have been stirred up when I removed
the CIS assembly to pull the engine.

I have already replaced 2 of 3 o-rings in the system pressure regulator(aka
push valve or pressure relief valve). Couldn't get the outer o-ring
without completely dissasembling.

Anyway, I think I need to run pressure tests to isolate the culprit.

Question: Where is the best/proper place to insert my guages. I am using
manifold/AC guages with inline fitting adaptors.

1) There is a fitting to the cold-start injector - probably the easiest to
tap, but I think I could only get system pressure here.

2) There is a fitting beneath the fender - I used this before, but looking
at it again, it goes to a solenoid beneath the fender(what is it?), so I
think my prior tests were bogus.

3) the fitting on top of the metering head /fuel distributor which comes
from the control pressure regulator is a banjo fitting, so I can not
readily use my guages without some special adaptor.

I plan to check the airflow sensor plate rest position and thermo-time
switch prior to running pressure tests. Is the thermo-time switch located
in the coolant fitting on the head?

Any other advice to resolve this problem is appreciated.

TIA

Ben
