THE place to buy your next Audi (x-posted)

Sorry for the major X-posting, but just wanted to pass along my fantastic
purchase experience to fellow listers. . .

This email is long overdue, but hopefully some will still find it helpful.
In mid-February I started car-shopping at had my eyes set on a new '02 A4.
The car was so new at the time I couldn't even find one locally to test
drive. . .I did find plenty of  local dealerships who gave me the typical run
around and not being able to find the color/option combo that I wanted, and
who wanted to charge me sticker (or more!).  Well I decided to email long
time 20V lister (I was coming from a '91 Coupe Quattro) Wylie Bean whom I
knew took a job in sales at Flow Audi within the past 12-mos or so.

Wylie located the exact color combo and options I wanted in all of about 24
hrs at a dealership in Pennsylvania - impressive. . .then we got to talk
prices, no haggle, no beating around the bush - but Wylie was able to give me
a price that was so much better than the local dealers I was dumbfounded.  He
obtained the car from the dealer in PA, and had it transported back to Flow
Audi in Winston Salem NC by the end of that same week.  I flew down on a
Saturday morning from my home in Chicago, Wylie picked me up at the airport,
and 20 minutes later we were at Flow Audi and I was looking at my new A4 with
something like 50 mi or less on the odo!  Not only had Flow installed the
snow tires/rims I had sent down from the Tire Rack, but Wylie also had a
tint-job done all to my specs (a tint-job better than 99.9% I have ever
seen).

I was in and out of Flow Audi lickity split - just had to sign the requisite
forms and Wylie showed me the ins and outs of my new vehicle.  I have
honestly spent more time, and had more headaches buying stereos and TV's!!

So - moral of the story is that if you're in the market for a new Audi, talk
to Wylie Bean at Flow Audi in Winston Salem.  A one way plane ticket from
Chicago was a very small price to pay for the great deal and wonderful
service I got!
