I think you are probably right. There is not enough heat shielding protecting the mount right now. I was
trying to get this piece in there somehow to see where it fit, but it wasn't happening (yet).
I didn't end up removing the downpipe at all, so this heat shield must be able to get back into place with
the downpipe in the way.
This piece has two holes in the middle of the dogleg section, but there was no evidence of those holes
being used for bolts or nuts.
I'm gonna get under there and keep working on it. Thanks for the help. If I get stuck, I'll take some pics.

p.s. On that Coupe GT I got, I started it yesterday, and it started right up. So, the cold start problem was
secondary to the missing ecu fuse
