urS4/S6 or A4 ?

I've owned neither but I've driven both, so I'm

It really boils down to "which one floats your boat?"
Because you are undecided, let me pull some of your
statements out of context.

Since you do a lot of high mileage "blasts", you'd want
the "road eater" and not the "cramped" car.

Don't worry about maintenance costs. It's a wash. At this
stage in their lives, it depends on the individual car.

Common? You may not see yourself coming and going in an
S6, but then it will go unnoticed by all but a few. That
may be a good thing.

Try this thought: which would you rather have in your
driveway in 20 years? I'd rather have Audi's sport flagship
than their bottom of the (U.S.) line.
