> This is starting to agravate me. I just replaced the coolant temp sensor (the one under the waterneck on drivers side) in hopes that it would cure my problems. It didnt , only made them worse. The car wont start now with the new sensor installed. I tryed unpluging the new sensor and the car starts alright and runs really really rich. (black smoke out the back at about 3k rpm) I have a feeling that the mixture was fooled with before I got the car to "make-up" for the failing sensor.
Quite likely. get out your 3mm allen key and try turning the CO/mixture
adjustment thing counter clockwise for leaner.
one turn is a lot, btw, though it might even need more than that. Just
keep track of how far you go, get it running, and fine tune by measuring
the control pressure actuator current (should be 10 mA at warm idle)
