If you are going to fuse the main battery wire, might as well put it
right next to the battery. And it will have to be *big,* in the 150-200
amp range, or your starter will pop it instantly.
The dist. block basically just gives you a place to bring together your
battery, starter, and fusebox/alternator big red wires. No real need
for fusing - your stock battery wasn't fused, was it?

Brendan pretends to claim I trashed his fuel lines removing the tray.
They were falling apart anyway... be prepared for things like that if
you have a rust-belt car - there is one fuel line rubber hold down under
the battery tray.
