After run and misterious wire? and oil pressure?

Couple of questions:
1. I noticed a crack in the hose fittings to the afterun coolant pump. Are
the hose connections and the pump one piece or can I get them separately
from the dealer?
2. How to test the afterrun pump? I have constant power to the on one of the
leads and nothing on the other (I am guessing the other is supposed to
provide negative as it uses a brown/black wire). I supplied positive to the
pump (as it is supplied by the plug) and grounded the other one. Nothing
happened. Is that the test? My concern stems from the fact that 1. as above
I have a crack in the fittings, 2) I noticed that with ingition on on my
friends 1991 200tq his pump comes on with the car off, on my 1989 200tq that
is not the case, is it a difference in the models or is mine broken? By the
way, why does it go on with the (ignition on engine off when car cold) in
the first place?
3. The last question is most interesting. I found a plug just hanging on the
driver's side of the transmission completely unpluged. It is white with pink
inside (as many others). It has two brown/black and one red/yellow wire
runing to it. (Two prong female.) I spent better part of the morning looking
for its mate. NO LUCK! Any ideas as to what is unpluged? (I think it is
coolant related.)
Answer to OIL PREASURE (correction PRESSURE)
A while back I asked about my low oil pressure (and misspelled pressure in
the subject line) Here is the answer: I took the FRAM off and put the proper
filter on. Now my oil pressure looks great!
Thanks for the help; sorry for the terribly worded questions (I'm in a
hurry),
Darek
