stabiliser, regulator, all the same thing.
pull your instrument cluster, on the back you will see a little 3
terminal thing about 1/2" square. it is screwed down and the
connections are sort of crimp/slide things. make sure it isn't a
connection issue, either at the cluster plugs or the reg. pins.
If you need a new voltage stabiliser, yes, 10v is correct.

and I found this:

anyway, those stabilisers don't seem to be a common problem, from what
I've seen. Just get a new one if necessary (I wonder what the dealer
charges?) and put it in.
