I never said anything about the whole car costing $1000....below is the post
I made and it's clear that I said $1k in the motor....
That said, if I wanted a drag car, I'd simply get a V8 rustang, slap twin
turbos on it, and be in the 10s for about a grand (it's been done more than
once)
I'm more interested in having a relatively quick car that I can auto-x, drag
race, and road race. Plus I have a hell of a good time beating the snot out
of the new shiny Asian cars with my car.
I bet the guy with the mid 12 second Dodge minivan was told he is crazy
too.....that didn't stop him, he has a hell of a good time spanking American
V8s
Now that I think about it....I bet I can make an Audi run in the low 13s for
$1000 including the price of the car. Hmmm, do I sense a challenge in your
post? :)
