what year? is that a type 85 "4000Q" or a type 89 "90Q" (translating to
'merican lingo)?
Anyway, sounds like a type 89 if you have tow black boxes, the larger
one is the fuel ecu, the smaller one is for ignition.
Probably not much, if anything, to gain by playing with them - it's the
turbo engines that need tweaking, to accomodate increases in boost.
Our lowly n/a engines don't have "magic ponies" waiting to be unleashed
with a little code, unfortunately - though I bet there is a *little*
room for play, by making the car a grosser polluter or less fuel
efficient - maybe there is a few %hp sacrificed to efficiency or
cleanliness in there. Maybe not, though.
