Looking at the family album, year model '88 up until 44-J-200-099
have no "procon" cable bracket on the automatic tranny in the
picture, 44-J-200-100 and following have it. This might be a hint.
BTW: Wasn't it the case that the US models only get one part
of the Pro-"CON"-"TEN" system? I can't remember if it was the
"CON" (steering wheel ripped away from the driver) or the "TEN"
(seatbelt tensioning) part... Whetever way, the cable has to be
routet 'around' the gearbox
The album mages notes of "TEN" on the seatbelt picture and "PROCON"
on the steering wheel and gearbox pages from '88 44-J-200-100 on.
The album also talks about a "cable bracket with hole" which looks
like an upsidce-down "L" with a half moon shaped top part
(443 419 857 A) but that seem to apply to manual trannies only.
HTH
So long!
