No, but I've been drudging through the archives and
SJM's site, and it seems that a bad knock sensor can
cause ignition to retard quite a bit, before it throws
a code or turns on the check engine light. Now my car
doesn't run as bad as if the knock sensor is unbolted
or simply unplugged, but somewhere in between. Yes
it's torqued right and static timing is 8dbtdc. So I
figure it's either that or I'm getting weak spark that
is causing it to knock a little. With the exception
of the coil, which tests out fine, all that stuff is
fairly new. I also added some of the NOS racing 7
point octane booster to see if that would help stop
any knock that I may be getting, but no change. I
also came up with one other possibility of something
rattling against the engine and tripping the sensor,
but I can't seem to locate anything. I'll start with
the sensor, $50 from Rod, I figure I'll need it
someday anyways.

Sorry Nate, I didn't mean to curse you! You know it's
because your car knows you spent all that money on
those new coil-overs instead of maintenence stuff, and
now it's mad. Don't worry mine does it all the time.

Later,
