Electric motor, pffft.  How about a leaf blower?  Might sound a little silly
(audibly and logically), but might actually have the oomph that an electic
fan won't.

Depends on your definition of "stupid idea" :-)

I don't think it will have the effect you're looking for, but I also don't
think that there's any "idea" that's "stupid". Simply having ideas means
that you are thinking, which would be the opposite of being stupid.

-hype?           ... Yes
-waste of money? ... Probably
_stupid?         ... Not if they're making money

FWIW, they use a 700watt axial-flow compressor linked to a full-throttle
switch. It makes an advertised 1psi boost.
