Our shop specializing in VW/Audi for 22+ years took a terrible bath on
an
A/T repair for above model!

We performed VAG1551 tests and first replaced Gear Selector Switch (a
common item).  Rechecking codes we replaced a valve body # 01F 927 359
A  new from dealer my cost $1034.  Problem continued and we dropped
transaxle finding only minimal wear on 4th gear clutch pack which we
replaced, reassembled and still ng.  We finally replaced transaxle with
good used and all is fine there.

Trying to recoup some of my losses, would you have any interest in this
NEW valve body?  It took nearly two months to obtain as no dealer or
warehouse stock in North America!  We also have the "core" transaxle if
it has some value to you.
