Is it possible that your mechanics source of rotors is
less than...acceptable. I did have problems with
Brembo calipers, but it took some pretty aggressive
driving (with lots of brake smells, I was late...) to cause
them to warp. I have had NO problems with even stock,
OEM ATE rotors (same thing as as the atomic groove slotted
ATE Powerdisc rotors, without the groove) without going
to any extreme lengths, and I've even autocrossed the beast.
Try ATE rotors (slotted, i.e. Powerdisc or not OEM) AFTER
checking out all of the other issues Taka has mentioned. A dragging
brake will quickly kill the rotor, though that would be noticed by
an incredibly hot wheel/brake after any drive of more than a few
minutes. And finally, turned rotors will warp more quickly than new
ones, as there is less material to heat up, so they get to higher
temps faster.
