A friend has two diesel Rabbits- one has 170hp, the other about 125. Of
course,
they're not really diesel any longer.

Yup he's right on. Try Auto-Xing a 1980 Rabbit diesel with 48hp! It has
Koni springs and shocks, F/R sway bars, fat tires, and great brakes.
Talk about a great car to learn technique with! I still haven't done any
racing in the QSW other than drags. Hopefully I'll get some real track
time with it soon
